history
Land of contrasts, Alsace enjoys a great diversity of terroirs and
landscapes. Gifted for its vine cuture, it is endowed with a dry and
temperate climate, complex geology, favorable soils and an ideal
exposure for its vineyards. Its geographical situation at a crossroads of
Germanic and Roman influences, also tells a story: that of a culture
fostered at the very outset by the Romans and perpetuated since by
empassioned winegrowers.
Vineyard
Various hill-sides around the little village of Bergheim with a predominance of heavy soils compound by clay and limestone.
Winemaking
Traditional methods of wine-making have been rigourously maintained, also used the most up to date equipment. /n
Tasting notes
Eye: light gold yellow color Nose: intense, fresh nose of citrus fruits, refined complexity: very expressive and charming! Mouth: a frank and pure attack, nice balance, strong fruitiness with a dry and elegant finish. A great Pinot Blanc with a wonderful fruit, very approachable.
Food pairing
It'll match perfectly with hot or cold starters, white fishes, mussels and cold fish paté. Perfect wine by the glass, with a buffet or on a warm day when thirsty! The most versatile wine in Alsace.
