Winemaker since 1853, Jean Perrier & Fils offers a selection of wines from AOC , white wines, red and rosé wines. Vineyard
Grape variety: Gamay, producing medium-sized, cylindrical and compact clusters with beautifully deep purple-black berries. The thin skins enclose abundant, juicy flesh, contributing freshness and aromatic intensity. This variety is grown on 360 hectares, representing approximately 18% of the Savoyard vineyard.
Winemaking
Hand-harvested grapes. A gentle maceration lasting 5 to 7 days allows for optimal extraction before the free-run wine is carefully separated. Following alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation naturally takes place, softening the wine by transforming malic acid into lactic acid. This process enhances roundness and balance, resulting in a wine with a generous mouthfeel, extended length on the palate, and excellent aging potential.
Tasting notes
Colour: light ruby.
Nose: red fruits, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry.
Mouth: round and lively, frank attack.
