history
The history of Jules Muller wine is mythical and will remain as such for both connoisseurs and for the best gourmet tables around the world. Today, they export this wide selection of flavours internationally and the reputation of its Alsace “grand cru” is well established. On the Alsace wine route, BERGHEIM takes pride of place. This medieval city, steeped in history, has numerous parcels of land rich in clay-limestone soil. This range of soil represents an opportunity and originality, which when combined with the exposure of the soil, bring to the Jules Muller wines an inimitable personality. The pride of Bergheim, the ALTENBERG DE BERGHEIM is a listed “Grand Cru” place name and reputed for its wines since the 12th century.
Vineyard
Various hill-sides around the little village of Bergheim with a predominance of heavy soils compound by clay and limestone.
Winemaking
Grapepicking by hand at the beginning of October. Strict and minutioslely sorting.Destemming and direct pressing .Alcoholic Fermentation then first racking and storage with fine lees to enhance the balance and finesse of aromas . Second racking .Maturing in vat. Bottling after a sterile filtering.
Tasting notes
Delicately fruity, this Pinot Noir Noir is a light, fresh wine revealing flavors of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. Soft tannins.

The Pinot Noir Rosé is a very versatile wine which you can enjoy all along a menu. You can have it by itself as an enjoying glass on a terrace or with a buffet, pair it with some cold and light hot starters, BBQ, roasting meat, salads, or light cheeses! It will also complement some Ethnic dishes as non-spicy Chinese or Thai food.
