Founded in 1986 in Brittany, the Distillerie des Menhirs is a family-owned distillery deeply rooted in its local terroir. Established by Guy Le Lay, the distillery is renowned for its innovative approach to traditional Breton spirits, notably through the creation of Eddu, the world’s first whisky made from buckwheat. Using locally sourced raw materials and traditional distillation methods, the estate produces distinctive whiskies, lambigs, and pommeaux that reflect both Breton heritage and modern craftsmanship.
