Sancerre Rosé
Domaine Daniel Reverdy & Fils - Sancerre
Rosé,Sancerre
Pinot Noir
history
A family estate located in Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, Domaine Daniel Reverdy & Fils cultivates 9.3 hectares of vines with passion and respect for tradition. Passed down through generations, the domain combines ancestral know-how and sustainable vineyard management to craft wines that express the purity of the terroir. The Clos de Chaudenay parcel, situated just behind the cellar, embodies this philosophy through its unique clay-limestone soil (Terres Blanches).
Vineyard
This cuvée finds its soul in the estate's 40-year-old vines, deeply rooted in the iconic Caillottes—stony limestone soils that gift the wine its crystalline purity. Through meticulous vine management, including rigorous debudding and thinning, yields are intentionally limited to concentrate the fruit's essence. After a precise selection at harvest, the wine is crafted using time-honored traditions, aging for five months on total lees to achieve a perfect harmony of vibrant energy and silken texture.
Winemaking
- Mechanical harvest - 25% of this Cuvée come from vine with grass - Fermentation at low temperature (14-17°c) - Maturing on total lees during 4 months in stainless steel tanks
