The Dubard Family is for more than 30 years, the most famous producers of refreshing and reasonably priced wines in South-West France. The family members offer differing personalities of graduate oenologists, wine makers and viticulturists who together make up a dynamic and passionate team that has been renowned in the Bergerac wine region for decades. Being receptive to their terroir, combining common sense and long experience with ceaseless wine-making and viticulture: these are the founding principles on which the family has relied in their exceptionnel cuvées. They are also ongoing on the environmental label "HVE" (High Environmental Value).
Vineyard
The vineyard covers 8 hectares situated on a calcareous plateau , characterized by a limestone and calcareous-clayish terroir. This land is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc , featuring vines that are 28 years old on average. The plots are managed with a plantation density of 5,555 vines per hectare using single Guyot pruning , producing a crop yield of 45hL/ha. Fully committed to sustainable practices, the estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) Level 4.
Winemaking
The process begins with a rigorous and careful selection of the grapes. The fruit then undergoes a 3-day cold pre-fermentation maceration maintained between 10°C and 12°C. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are conducted in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. Throughout this vinification, a dedicated pumping process is utilized to perfectly extract the natural juice aromas.
Tasting notes
On the nose, this wine reveals notes of violets followed by vanilla aromas. A concentrated and well-balanced wine with aromas of stewed red fruits.

A perfect match with poultries, pâté-en-croûte or hard cheeses.
