Vineyard
Various hill-sides around the little village of Bergheim with a predominance of heavy soils compound by clay and limestone.
Winemaking
While traditional methods of wine-making have been rigourously maintained, the familly also used the most up to date equipment. This marriage of old and new enables Balthazar Fry team to offer a prestigious marriage of fine wines among the best the French government has distinguished with the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée label./nOur cellars hold our wines in oak casks and its vats of a more modern style, so that the wine matures gracefully with all the time it needs.
Tasting notes
Eye : Gold yellow and clear color.
Nose : Expressive floral nose with some hints of rose, fragrances of apricot and tropical fruits.
Mouth : Supple and fresh, complex and rich but still elegant and food friendly due to its freshness. Aromas exotic fruits and different spices, peppery/ginger finish. Gastronomic gewurztraminer with a surprising dry finish
